How often do you do X? — тип вопросов, который часто задают на тесте. Чтобы на него ответить, вам нужно следовать рекомендациям в посте.

Мы с вами рассмотрим разные типы вопросов и то, как можно на них ответить. Это не является лучшим или единственно правильным ответом. Но я вам рекомендую взять их себе на заметку.

Помните, что хорошая подготовка — залог успешной сдачи любого экзамена.

Итак, когда экзаменатор спрашивает вас подобного рода вопросы

1. How often do you read books?
2. How often do visitors come to your home?
3. How often do you go out for dinner with friends?

Помните, что вопросы необязательно должны начинаться именно так. Главное, проанализируйте саму суть вопроса, и затем применяйте наши рекомендации.

Порядок ответа:

• Сказать как часто мы делаем то, о чем спрашивает экзаменатор
• Объяснить, почему мы делаем это так часто или нечасто
  

Вам нужно освоить следующую структуру:

• Использовать разное количество наречий частотности правильно ( (“I never go to the cinema”/” I regularly visit a dentist”)
• Использовать разное количество наречий не частотности чтобы показать как нечасто вы что-то делаете  (“I don’t always eat at home”/” Every once in a while I play sports”)

Шаг 1 Наречия частнотности

Помните о следующей группе наречий частотности

10%	seldom	I seldom read the newspaper.
5%	hardly ever / rarely	I hardly ever drink alcohol.
0%	never	I never swim in the sea.

Наречия частотности, которые идут до глагола

• Always — I always read the Sunday papers
• Seldom/rarely — Mike seldom/rarely goes to fast-food restaurants
• Never — I never watch TV news

Наречия частотности, которые могут идти до глагола или в конце предложения

• Often — I often listen to BBC. I listen to BBC often
• Frequently — I frequently go to the stadium with my friends. I go to the stadium with my friends frequently

Наречия частотности, которые могут идти в начале предложения, перед глаголом или в конце предложения.

• Usually — Usually I play basketball on Sunday. I usually play basketball on Sunday. I play basketball on Sunday usually.
• Sometimes — Sometimes I go to bars. I go to bars sometimes. I sometimes go to bars.
• Occasionally — Occasionally Kate reads newspapers. Kate occasionally reads newspapers. Kate reads newspapers occasionally.

Наречия частотности, которые могут идти только в конце предложения

• All the time — I listen to MP3 all the time

Шаг 2 наречия нечастотности

Если вы не часто делаете то, о чем вас спрашивает экзаменатор, то используйте разнообразие наречий не частотности. Вдобавок к «never», «seldom», «rarely», можно использовать разговорные выражения для того чтобы звучать как носитель.

• Every once in a while (=sometimes). I play football on Sunday morning every once in a while.
• From time to time (=occasionally). I have friends over from time to time.
• Once in a blue moon (=rarely). I drink alcohol once in a blue moon.
• Hardly ever (=almost never). I hardly ever play video games.

Использование «don’t»

Также для создания наречий не частотности, можно добавлять «don’t» перед наречием частотности. «Don’t» можно использовать со следующими наречиями

• Always — I don’t always go to the university library to read books
• Usually — She doesn’t usually have guests on Sundays.
• Often — He doesn’t often go to the clubs.
• All the time — I don’t go to expensive restaurants with friends all the time; just occasionally.

Interviewer: How often do you read books?

Candidate: To be honest,I’m always reading books; I’m a complete bookworm. I usually read novels but sometimes I mix it up slightly and read books about history or nature. I prefer reading novels because they are a great way to relax and escape from daily life, but I also enjoy history and nature books because they help me learn more about the world we live in. From time to time, I might read some poetry, but I have to be in the right mood.
