Former Polish tennis player and former world number two Agnieszka Radwanska spoke out about the departure of Iga Schwiontek from the Australian Open after her loss to Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina,
“I think she’s going to have a really tough season because of all the pressure from last year. She’s defending everything, almost every week. It’s hard and it’s not easy when everybody wants to beat you because you’re No. 1 in the world.
She really needs to work on how to handle the pressure, that’s the main key. But I think she will still do great things this year.
She lost to Rybakina, who won Wimbledon. Jelena played solid tennis from start to finish, but the season’s not over yet, so I think she’ll still make it,” Eurosport quoted Radwanska as saying.
